Brighton Pub and Restaurant, Ditchling Road, Jolly Poacher, Preston ParkA Great Addition to Brighton Pub Dining

The Jolly Poacher is still quite a new venue for Brighton and one which has created quite a stir since its opening.

With its great quality Modern British Cuisine and its friendly and efficient approach, we expect this aspiring food venue to be a great mover and shaker in the years to come.

A Neighbourhood Pub, Close to Brighton Centre

The Jolly Poacher is located a long stones throw away from The Level, on the way to the Five Ways area and just up from Preston Park – it is also just around the corner from the Hanover area of Brighton.

Charming and friendly

Brighton Pub and Restaurant, Ditchling Road, Jolly Poacher, Preston ParkThe Jolly Poacher is a neighborhood pub/ restaurant serving excellent quality food using fresh, local & seasonal produce.

Also considered a gastro pub, the Jolly Poacher has a great  selection of wines, real ales, interesting lagers and delivers delicious cocktails.

The Jolly Poacher is a relaxing, informal & comfortable environment. Great for those cold nights around their open fire and a good option for those warm summer evenings on their terrace.

A Food Experience with enticing menus

Brighton Pub and Restaurant, Ditchling Road, Jolly Poacher, Preston ParkThe menus at the Jolly Poacher will leave you wanting more and more.

From their popular express menus which are served at lunch and early evening – You could perhaps try a starter of Salt cod & scallop fritters, mayonnaise & parsley crisps, followed by a main of Confit of Duck Leg, Mashed Potatoes, Black Cabbage.

Then for their evening A La Carte  menu, why not try a pre starter of Carlingford rock oysters, followed by Tempura of golden cross goats cheese, steamed choi & nam jim dressing  and then Char grilled sirloin steak, chips, bitter leaf salad & horseradish sauce.

The options are diverse and seasonal. Plus they have a children’s menu too.

Their Jolly Sussex Relative

Related to the reputable Jolly Sportsman in East Chiltington (voted best Sussex Pub of the Year for 3 years on the trot – Good Food Guide) the Jolly Poacher has taken over residence from where the Roundhill Tavern used to be at 100 Ditchling Road.

If the Jolly Sportsman is anything to go by, we are sure this new addition to Brighton will be a good one.
